Start Here: What the Demo Is Asking You to Do
Rivage’s demo can feel opaque because early objectives are hidden in environmental clues instead of a quest list. This walkthrough gives you the intended chain: access Miranda’s computer and vault, collect three batteries, use the Emergency Pharmacy, and reach the Pod Bay route.
The key habit is scanning access cards, papers, and relevant objects with K9. Holding a card is not enough; rotate it and scan its barcode to register access permanently.
Inspect notes closely. They explain the relationship between the Pharmacy, batteries, and shifting dock areas, although the meaning becomes clearer once you use the mechanic.
| Early objective | What unlocks it | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Miranda’s computer | Password clue on her desk | Provides the vault-reset date |
| Miranda’s vault | Reset instructions and email date | Contains Miranda’s access card |
| Kitchen dock system | Ceiling pattern from cube puzzle | Switches room variants |
| Emergency Pharmacy | Three batteries | Dispenses Pod Bay access |
Before progressing, make sure you have done these basics:
- Scan the K9 leaflet in Miranda’s room.
- Read the vault-reset instructions from the case beside the map.
- Scan every access card from its reverse side.
- Listen to recordings from glowing cubes.
- Recheck a room after changing its dock-system setting.
Access Miranda’s Computer and Vault
At the start, inspect the desk on your right and scan the K9 leaflet. This establishes the scanning behavior that remains important throughout the game.
Use Miranda’s computer and ask for a password hint. It points to “my bestseller.” A nearby desk book is titled Stardust, so enter stardust to log in.
Open the email section and find the Optima Vault reset message. Write down its date. Dates can vary between saves or playthroughs, so use the date displayed in your own email.
Leave the room and approach the cube before the map. Open the case left of the map by unlatching its front clips, then pulling its two upper handles forward. The case contains the vault-reset instructions. Take a screenshot if you do not want to memorize them.
Return to Miranda’s room and use the Optima Vault by the door. Enter /000/ first, then enter the date from Miranda’s email. Confirm it and pull down the orange upper-left handle.
Inspect the letter and journal in the vault cupboards. Take Miranda’s access card, turn it over, and scan its barcode with K9.
| Vault step | Where to find the clue | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Computer password | Book on Miranda’s desk | Enter stardust |
| Vault reset command | Instruction leaflet in map case | Enter /000/ first |
| Reset date | Vault-reset email | Use your displayed date |
| Access registration | Back of Miranda’s card | Scan the barcode |
Do not assume an open door means the card is useless. Miranda’s Level 1 card is used to enter the kitchen, even though her room is already accessible.
Solve the Kitchen and Find the Three Batteries
From Miranda’s room, go left down the corridor to the kitchen. Use the blue open control at the locked door. The floating droid asks for a screenshot; take one by holding down on the d-pad.
Find the orange equations board. The first battery is on the bench beneath it. Pick it up, even though its destination is not visible yet.
At the far-left table, press the green button on the gold circular device. A holographic cube appears. Adjust the two base handles until its sections align from every side. Then look up and note the ceiling pattern.
Go up the central stairs and listen to the glowing cube recording. Use the dock system on the right, copying the ceiling pattern into its display. Treat the marked line as the pattern’s bottom edge.
Choose Robot Area after unlocking the dock system. The altered room contains the Emergency Pharmacy and a second battery on a desk. Insert both batteries into the Pharmacy.
Return to the dock system and choose Cultivation. Go upstairs in that version of the room and collect the third battery. Switch back to Robot Area, then install the final battery.
| Battery | Room configuration | Location |
|---|---|---|
| First | Initial kitchen state | Bench beneath the orange equation board |
| Second | Robot Area | Desk near the Emergency Pharmacy |
| Third | Cultivation | Upstairs desk in the cultivation section |
This is where many players lose the route. The battery slots are not available in every room state; the dock system changes which version of that kitchen section exists. Cycle through each dock option whenever a note references an area you cannot find.
Use the Emergency Pharmacy and Reach the Pod Bay Route
With all three batteries installed, pull down the Emergency Pharmacy handle. Select Pod Bay Access and take the issued card. Turn it over and scan its back before leaving.
The power may cut out at this point. That is intended, not a dead end. The storage room at the back of the kitchen should now be open. Go through it and interact with the arcade machine.
A note near the kitchen entrance identifies the Pharmacy as relevant and indicates where batteries can be found. Another note in the early water-themed area connects the Pharmacy with Pod Bay access.
Use this recovery path if you are unsure where progress stopped:
- Confirm that the hologram pattern unlocked the kitchen dock system.
- Cycle through every available dock area.
- Check Robot Area for the Pharmacy and second battery.
- Check Cultivation upstairs for the third battery.
- Return to Robot Area and load all three batteries.
- Request Pod Bay Access, scan the card, and check the rear storage room.
| Common problem | Likely cause | Best fix |
|---|---|---|
| Battery fits nowhere | Pharmacy has not appeared | Set the dock system to Robot Area |
| Only two batteries found | Cultivation was not checked | Search upstairs after switching areas |
| Pod Bay card fails | Barcode was not registered | Turn over the card and scan it |
| Dock system is locked | Ceiling design was missed | Finish the holographic cube puzzle |
| No path after power loss | Storage-room opening was missed | Check the kitchen’s rear area |
Follow the Demo’s Clue Logic
Rivage usually gives you methods rather than explicit answers. The demo becomes more manageable when you treat every object as a clue, a tool, or an access credential.
Notes often point to a location or system without spelling out the exact sequence. Dock-system changes matter especially because the station can hide a needed object in a room version you have not selected.
Audio is another recurring clue type. In the exhibit sequence, a puzzle asks for the Horizon Probe creator’s first and last name. One part is associated with Igor, while the missing surname comes from an audio clue tied to the other exhibition display.
If the recording sounds too fast, do not guess. Search that room for a way to use K9 to return the playback to normal speed. The intended solution is to manipulate the audio, not search unrelated books for a name.
A useful rule is to look for paired information: a note and device, an object and its reverse side, a recording and playback control, or a pattern and input panel.
FAQ
What is the fastest path through the Rivage demo?
This rivage demo walkthrough follows this route: access Miranda’s computer, open her vault, scan her card, enter the kitchen, solve the hologram pattern, use the dock system, collect three batteries, activate the Emergency Pharmacy, and scan the Pod Bay card.
Where do I put the batteries?
Install all three in the Emergency Pharmacy, found when the kitchen dock system is set to Robot Area. The batteries are in the initial kitchen, Robot Area, and upstairs in Cultivation.
Why can’t I use Miranda’s access card?
Scan the barcode on its back. The card grants kitchen access and is not intended only for Miranda’s room.
How do I unlock the kitchen dock system?
Solve the holographic cube at the far-left kitchen table. Copy the ceiling pattern into the dock system, using its line marker as the bottom of the design.
How do I find the Horizon Probe creator’s surname?
Inspect the other exhibition display and use its audio clue. If playback is accelerated, look nearby for the K9 method that slows it down.
